As you’ve probably noticed (if you’re a subscriber) I haven’t posted any thing in a long time. I’ve just been super busy with everything going on, but right now I am bored. Who the heck can stay in their house for thirty days? Not me! In this post I will not say any more about covid-19 because if you’re like me, you are tired of hearing about it every second of every day. Instead, I’m just going to tell you what I am doing to keep myself from going insane, and maybe throw in some quotes about boredom.
The main thing I’ve been doing is dog training. You probably don’t know that I love to train dogs because I don’t really talk about my personal life. Maybe I will make a post every once in a wile like this one. Any ways, I’ve been training Hayze (go read about him in my first post) and it’s going very well. I’ve taught him some cool tricks, and we’re working on being off leash. Comment if you like to train your dog too.
Another thing I’ve been doing is just hanging out with my family. Mainly that just consists of watching Disney movies together. But we also roasted hot dogs and marshmallows yesterday, and I took a walk with my mom and two of my siblings (oh, I took a walk with Hayze, too. Can’t forget him) which was fun.
Those are some ways I keep myself busy, what to you do to keep yourself from going bored out of your mind? Other ideas might include: cooking, baking, playing bored games, reorganizing your house, making up some games, learning something new, doing yoga/working out, (ect.)
Here are a few “boredom quotes” :
“That’s right,’ she told the girls. ‘You are bored. And I’m going to let you in on a little secret about life. You think it’s boring now? Well, it only gets more boring. The sooner you learn it’s on you to make life interesting, the better off you’ll be.”
― Maria Semple, Where’d You Go, Bernadette “Is life not a thousand times too short for us to bore ourselves?”
― Friedrich Nietzsche “…I also believe that introversion is my greatest strength. I have such a strong inner life that I’m never bored and only occasionally lonely. No matter what mayhem is happening around me, I know I can always turn inward.”
― Susan Cain “Never underestimate the determination of a kid who is time-rich and cash-poor.”
― Cory Doctorow, Little Brother (aren’t we all time rich right now?) “The Beatles saved the world from boredom.”
― George Harrison (for those of you who love the Beatles)
I hope you have an interesting day (free of boredom)! Remember to share what you like to do in your free time in the comments! Also, be safe!!!!
P.S. I tried my hardest not to say anything about corona, but sometimes there are too many good jokes about it to just keep them to myself!!!
